L'UNITÉ D'HABITATION - Le Corbusier

This weaving project was inspired by Le Corbusier’s building “L’unité d’habitation” built in Berlin in 1956. It is the 3rd of 5 modern residential housing projects built throughout Europe.

As in the building, a mixture of colors and multiple geometric shapes was the concept for several samples with different proportions, where a double warp (one beige and the other one colorful) creates a contrast as the one found between the colors and the concrete in the front of the building.
